Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Dakshis, we take immense pride in the quality of our handcrafted Karungali products. Every item is carefully inspected before dispatch. We understand that issues can occasionally arise, and this policy outlines the conditions under which we accept returns, process refunds, and handle cancellations.
Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. By purchasing from us, you agree to these terms.
1. Important Note on Natural Variation
All Dakshis products are made from genuine Karungali (ebony) wood, which is a natural material. Each piece is handcrafted individually. As a result, natural variation in colour, grain pattern, bead size, and surface texture is expected and is not considered a defect. These variations are what make each piece unique and authentic. Returns or refunds will not be accepted on the basis of natural variation in appearance.
2. Eligible Reasons for Return
We accept return requests only under the following circumstances:
- You received a product that is physically damaged or broken (not due to mishandling after delivery)
- You received a wrong product (different from what you ordered)
- The product is missing from your order (partial delivery)
- The product has a manufacturing defect that was not caused by use or mishandling
3. Non-Eligible Reasons for Return
We do not accept returns or issue refunds in the following cases:
- Change of mind or personal preference after purchase
- Natural variation in wood colour, grain, or bead size (inherent to handcrafted products)
- Damage caused by mishandling, improper use, or exposure to water/chemicals after delivery
- Products that have been used, worn, or altered
- Delay in delivery due to courier issues or incorrect address provided by the customer
- Products purchased during sale or at discounted prices (unless damaged or wrong item)
4. How to Raise a Return Request
If your return request falls under an eligible reason, please follow these steps:
- Step 1Contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order via WhatsApp or email at support@dakshis.com.
- Step 2Share your order number, a clear description of the issue, and photographs of the product and packaging.
- Step 3Our team will review your request within 2 business days and communicate the outcome.
- Step 4If approved, we will arrange a pickup or provide return shipping instructions. Do not ship the product back without our confirmation.
- Step 5Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we will process your refund or replacement within 5โ7 business days.
Return requests raised after 48 hours of delivery will not be accepted. Please inspect your order promptly upon receipt.
5. Refund Process
Once a return is approved and the product is received and inspected by us:
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method (UPI, bank account, card, etc.).
- Refund processing typically takes 5โ7 business days after approval.
- Bank processing times may add an additional 2โ5 business days depending on your bank.
- Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
- For COD orders, refunds will be processed via bank transfer. You will need to provide your bank account details.
6. Replacement Policy
In eligible cases, we may offer a replacement instead of a refund, subject to product availability. If the exact product is not available, we will offer a refund. Replacements are dispatched within 3โ5 business days of return receipt and inspection.
7. Order Cancellation
By the customer: You may cancel your order within 12 hours of placing it, provided it has not yet been dispatched. To cancel, contact us immediately via WhatsApp or email with your order number. If the order has already been dispatched, cancellation is not possible.
By Dakshis: We reserve the right to cancel any order in cases of stock unavailability, pricing errors, suspected fraud, or inability to verify payment. In such cases, a full refund will be issued promptly.
8. Damaged in Transit
If your package appears visibly damaged or tampered with at the time of delivery, please do not accept it. Refuse the delivery and contact us immediately with photographs of the package. If you have already accepted a damaged package, please contact us within 24 hours with photographic evidence. We will work with the courier partner to resolve the issue.
